US Embassy Support and Interesting Article

We are pleased to confirm the US Embassy in Tunis will join the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation in supporting our upcoming collaboration with the Atlas Music Academy in Beni Mtir, Tunisia, where we will teach young musicians and organize a "musical caravan" from July 5 to 15, 2012.

On another note, I highly recommend this article about an orchestra in Egypt consisting of blind girls and women. Hopefully Cultures in Harmony will work with them some day. In the mean time, we are honored to work with the NGO Bridge to plan our Egypt project this year. This project will take place in Cairo and Alexandria from June 25 to July 4, 2012, and will involve collaborations with musicians from a variety of genres. Bridge was previously a partner in an exciting 2010 project called the Hip Hop Connection.

Both our Egypt and Tunisia project are under the umbrella of "Connecting Cultures through Counterpoint," a project in Egypt, Tunisia, and Pakistan that I launched with this lecture at the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin in February 2011.
